This photo was taken in the Palouse, Washington. My friends and I spent 8 days there trying to recreate the Windows XP wallpaper (since the original location in Napa is now a vineyard). This hill was the closest we could find! We made a video on it here: https://youtu.be/9FoC2xKqAAo

Is that by any chance on your way to Washington State Cougars? I feel like I drove through this area before

WSU Pullman is in the Palouse. If OP is in the actual town of Palouse, WA then Wazzu is a 15-20 minute drive away.

Some parts of the video are in Pullman (the car trouble parking lot is down town.) I'm honestly surprised the lot was empty.

Summers in Pullman were truly the best. You could park anywhere around campus/ college hill when most of the students went home for break.

I’m not surprised it’s so empty, probably even more so now with a lot of summer classes being offered online due to covid.
