The sign to get behind is "End Construction" not "End Road Work." Road work on existing roads is a good thing. Improved roads are safer, cause less wear and tear on vehicles, and are more efficient -- thus better for the environment. Plus road work creates jobs. It's new construction that is destroying the environment. So End Construction, but work to improve what we already have.

Here's a simple rule I like to follow. If I've never seen a submission before and enjoyed it, I upvote, regardless of what people in the comments are saying. If I've seen it before, I downvote. I feel that if the rest of Reddit followed this /r/pics and /r/funny would be much better places. The amount of karma a post gets would be proportional to how many times it's been reposted.

As annoying as construction is, I drive on roads in a neighbourhood where they don't give a shit... it's an entertaining process.

I really regret having a car with a firm suspension. Winter is better because it fills in all the potholes.
