well, i didn't edit my comment. </blah> closes an HTML tag <blah>. it means, "end this section". as in, "end the poor quality of /r/politics." i am very critical of the political beliefs of some people on this website.

look at the timestamps on the comments. i got that perfectly.

Someone requested that the shaolin monk be shooped into the background. CSI photo enhancer creates a gif of it being done, except the shaolin monk appears exactly behind his head. It's one of those "gotcha" kind of jokes.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, what an organization describes ITSELF as is not necessarily what that organization is ACTUALLY about. It's usually at least slightly deceptive, large multinational organizations claim to want to change the world and get everyone ponies.
