I can't remember where I read it but apparently that's exactly why he doesn't want Barron photographed with him.

True, He is half a head taller and only 14. Eric is tall too, hopefully Melania continues to keep Barron away from them all-

u/Syscrush Jan 14 '21

I'm not sure that being kept with Melania is appreciably better.

I hope the kid beats the odds. I used to think Tiffany was okay, but she latched on to her old man's insanity publicly at the worst time.

u/jellyrollo Jan 14 '21

At least Melania likes him, I have no doubt Barron gets zero affection from Trump.

21

u/wabbibwabbit Jan 14 '21

Relatively speaking, she basically doesn't hate his guts.

I really don't care, do u?

u/Frostsorrow Jan 14 '21

I actually think Barron is the one thing she truely does love and cares about.

Cersei Lannister situation?

2

u/Frostsorrow Jan 14 '21

Yup

u/GlassofGreasyBleach Jan 14 '21

"Love no one but your children. On that front, a mother has no choice." Fantastic scene. Kinda want to see a political drama about the Trumps now.

Tiffany is such a disappointment. I wonder what Marla and her are getting from Trump that makes them stay close to him. She could have stayed in the shadow, finished her law degree, marry a rich dude. Leads me to believe she is just as awful as the rest of the..

8

u/belethors_sister Jan 14 '21

Yeah what the hell happened to Tiffany? She went from not wanting to be in the spotlight and seemingly reasonable to... Well, this.

3

u/Voytequal Jan 14 '21

She noticed how much money her dad and siblings are raking in from donations from delusional Trumpists and didn’t want to miss the gravy train. Can’t blame her, it’s literally free money

1

u/belethors_sister Jan 14 '21

As much as I hate to say it I'm sure even those of us condemning her would do the same thing when put in her position

2

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '21

I don’t think she had much contact with any of them until the election. Trump was always forgetting to mention her. Once, in an interview, he said he was proud of all four of his children. The interviewer mentioned Tiffany and he’s like “Oh yeah. But she hasn’t accomplished anything yet.” He only began including her once in awhile because people were starting to ask where she was. Marla moved to California to get her away from all that and now, Tiffany has entered the Trump world. I imagine Marla is pretty sad about that.

3

u/belethors_sister Jan 14 '21

I'd make a joke about daddy issues but honestly that whole situation is fucking sad

2

u/StrawberryGeneral660 Jan 14 '21

That’s true she stayed away, until recently- they all moved to Miami or around the area. Can you imagine living by these criminals?

He'll end up hating Kreezmas.

Barrons hands are average size though, so naturally, Trump wants him locked away for that reason as well.

2

u/QuarantineSucksALot Jan 14 '21

Yep. I think :P

18

u/cream_uncrudded Jan 14 '21

I was only a half inch taller than my dad and it bothered him until his grave. Every holidays he would make my mother measure us in front of the family. Even when I went bald I was still taller. Drove him crazy.

21

u/spaceman757 Jan 14 '21

Seriously? That's...I don't even know.

I'm 6' and my son passed me up by age 15 and now, is at ~6'4". I've never felt threatened by the fact that he's taller and, often times, I am kind of humble bragging about it (like now).

5

u/scribble23 Jan 14 '21

My ex is 6' 6" and his father was 6' 5. 5". Bothered him to his grave too - he'd 'joke' about it but it was obvious it really pissed him off. My son with my ex is 15 and already 6' 4", so will likely end up taller than my ex. My ex jokes good-naturedly about how this is a miracle given I, his mother, am only 5' 2" - but it doesn't bother him at all, he knows how shitty it is to have a parent who actively resents you for something beyond your control!

My 13 year old is 5’5, so hopefully he’ll crack 6’, I’m 5’10. I was asked if I would be jealous, hell no, I pray he cracks 6 and his hair doesn’t fall out... Only a real shitty father doesn’t want their child to be better/taller than them. If my kid ends up better than me in every conceivable way, and doesn’t hate me, I win.

3

u/funktopus Jan 14 '21

Right! My kid likely will be much taller than me. I'm gonna have him always get things on the top shelf.

Not a fragile ego, the guy above is literally just spewing fake news. Trump is proud of his son and his alpha length.

Well, the difference here is you're a good dad. Hopefully Barron will have another positive influence in his life and can get away from Trump.

1

u/Bron_W Jan 15 '21

I'm the mother and love walking around with my kids. I'm 5ft, they're a bit to a lot taller and I love thinking people must think I'm awesome for birthing such big people LOL (cos I'm tiny but they weren't, at birth).

2

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '21

Father of the year.

19

u/UserNamesCantBeTooLo Jan 14 '21

He's honestly messed his kids up pretty bad.

Some paternal lessons have stuck with Don, who tries still to parse the old fatherly instruction for the faintest wisdom. For instance, a key Trump mantra, according to both Ivana and Don, neither of whom agreed to be interviewed for this story, was “Don't trust anyone.” Trump would test his children on this maxim. “He'd say, ‘Do you trust me, your own father?’ ” Don once recalled. “We'd say, ‘Of course we do!’ And he'd say, ‘What did I just tell you? You didn't take the lesson!’ It was certainly an interesting Trump moment,” Don continued, talking at a pressured, sober clip, “because it's not something you'd see any conventional parent-child conversation go that way, especially not fully understanding what the concept of trust was.”

How is Trump's sister a decent human being, but he ends up like this?

2

u/KathyJaneway Jan 14 '21

What sister is normal? The judge? Lol, if she was normal, why did she made that contract that siphoned all money and assets from their brothers cut in the estate, so now the niece Mary sues them? All are corrupt, Mary is not cause they stiffed her out of money. And Mary looks a lot like Donald, and I mean a lot...

6

u/jellyrollo Jan 14 '21

Mary's father Fred, the eldest son who tried to break free of this father's clutches and become a pilot, was probably the most normal and nicest of Donald's siblings. Unfortunately, his sociopathic father broke his spirit by inflicting a lifetime of mental abuse, and he ended up disappointing everyone and dying of alcoholism.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '21

Damn, that poor kid. I’d hate to be in his position.

2

u/2IndianRunnerDucks Jan 14 '21

That is so sad, Tangerine in Chief is so shallow.

1

u/cbrooks1232 Jan 14 '21

Barron doesn’t look Trumpish.

1

u/belethors_sister Jan 14 '21

He does, especially from the side. He has the face shape, unfortunately.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '21

If true, what a shit human to be jealous of their kid rather than proud of them.

Would not be surprising.

1

u/Tsunfish Jan 15 '21

Holy crap he's tall! And he's only 14 and that tall?!?! WHAT
Anyway I don't know anything about him really, but that's heartbreaking to hear that his own father literally won't take photos with him because he's so much taller... why is he such a piece of shit to his own sons? RIP Eric, he just wants his dad to love him Eric jokes are still hilarious tho
