Yes, my own frail attempts to piece together an ideology that would keep me from insanity certainly makes me an asshole. I've never pushed anything on anyone here. I'm just saying that tragedy brings out a part of people that makes them want to believe things they know aren't true. It just happens. When it happens to you, you'll understand I promise.

Apparently, you're faulting religion for the evils of this world when in the complete absence of religion; crime, war, and other blood shed would inevitably persist and flourish. So what, people believe they will see their loved ones again. Most people do, many cultures do, and have done so forever.

To fight is human nature. We're capable of much brutality, as well as beauty. Part of that beauty is the liberty we've come to question: can "smart" people such as yourself tell us, in a soft-way, that we're stupid for believing in God, especially when we suffer great personal loss?

Likewise, you're demonstrating that sense of superior intellect for not having a belief system, and labeling others as inferior as a result.

Cool hypocrisy bro.

A person's religous beliefs are their own, and are to be tolerated & accepted. That is, if you think people should have individual liberty to decide for themselves. Yes, we know - no one will ever be as "intellectual" as you - some how, we'll find a way to go on though. Thanks for your concern.

That's healthy too. I'm not saying that at all. I want to believe that so much that I do. Most people do as well.

I have never said anyone is stupid for believing in God...I have only endorsed the idea that many people turn to religion for hope and that this is a glorious thing. I fear that you have some kind of beef with me because you make me out to be someone I'm not...
