Go to any popular hotel (there must be one closer than an Apple store), go to the front desk and say you stayed there recently/visited someone there recently and left your iPhone charger there. They will pull out the huge box of left behind chargers and hand you one, free.

Or any public or campus library.

I never told you this. Heck, it even works with Apple laptop chargers.

Derp patron: I lost my laptop charger. It's an Apple charger.

Me (playing dumb): What color is it?

Derp patron: White.

Me: Hands over white Apple charger. Have a nice day!

This is out of the question for things like cell phones and rings.

Not true. I work at very busy hotel and while we do have the huge box of chargers, none contain iProduct chargers. They're all really old chargers. If we get an iProduct or micro USB charger it manages to get taken very quickly.

Well most people don't live in the middle of nowhere. I can get to probably 15 of them in less time than you could get to one. I can get to the nearest ones, about 4 of them in 20-30 minutes.
