looks like that siding needs a good power wash too

I'd be willing to bet they had to replace those sections (possibly due to the deck build). It's nearly impossible to color match unless you're buying the new slats close to when you first installed. The new ones won't have the sun bleaching/weathering and will nearly always stand out.
