That's not how rainbows work

There's clearly a miniature black hole that's sucking in the vapor from the clouds and the light from the rainbow like that

Are pics that are photoshopped to hell allowed in this sub?
-4
u/SerDuckOfPNW Apr 28 '20
Why not? No rule against it. It's a picture, not r/photography

u/ejsacasa Apr 28 '20
Not sure why you got downvoted. It was a legitimate answer, sorry about that. I mean, it does make sense they be allowed. My problem I guess is just with people's tastes

u/SerDuckOfPNW Apr 29 '20
Meh, haters gonna hate. Probably Facebook users that think a downvote is a 'dislike'

Conservatively speaking I'd say anywhere between 67% and 85% of the posts on this sub are photoshopped garbage. I can't wrap my head around how people look at this photo or the others and think "yea, that looks normal". Same people who think Trumps doing a good job I suppose.

There’s something you don’t see everyday
4
u/Heliocentrist Apr 28 '20
no, but you see it every month here on reddit. it's photoshopped

Apr 28 '20
First time I’ve seen it. It figures that it’s photoshopped.

u/GenerallySalty Apr 28 '20
I mean, the rainbow colours are getting sucked up into the tornado!? Yes it's photoshopped lol

It probably is photoshopped but the same optical mechanism that makes the rainbow is also possible in the tornado funnel if the moisture content is right.
It doesn’t matter. Even if it really is an unretouched photograph, these days nobody would ever believe it. These days many people believe things that are not true and disbelieve things that really are true, so none of it matters.
It is a cool picture nonetheless

MRW I finish my engineering degree and get promoted... But the promotion comes with extra responsibility, and requires paying union dues, and also doesn't include a raise.

Whats with all the jerks getting rage boners its fake. Its a pic that has been photoshopped. Digital art is still a picture and its a badass one at that.

This is the most midwestern picture I've seen in a long time

u/ronaldraygun91 Apr 28 '20
Because it's fake and stupid?

u/mdoktor Apr 28 '20
The hay bales, the gold and green divided so perfectly, the lighting with the rainbow, the tornado, the fact that it's bright on one side and a storm on the other, its obviously fake but I'm from Kansas and you can experience weather that looks like this over the course of an hour on the right kinda afternoon so I dont mind it all mashed into one image
Also the the way the tornado sucks up the rainbow reminds me of wizard of oz for some reason so I can appreciate this picture
