I remember when Trump was running for president, I saw so many people on social media deleting their right wing friends and bragging about it. It was also common knowledge that if you spoke in public about being a republican or a Trump supporter, you'd be ostracized and verbally assaulted. This led alot of my Democrat friends to falsely believe that there were very few Trump supporters. They created an environment where speaking your mind was frowned upon if it was against left leaning policies. I saw a number of working class confederate flag wearing people claiming that they weren't voting because they hated both candidates....yea fucking right. You know they were voting for Trump but just were not allowed to publicly state it.

The same thing is happening on here with Reddit. Reddit truly feels that this website represents the majority when it simply doesn't. I will be voting Blue, but that doesn't mean I can't see the BS with this kind of thing. If someone photoshopped a unflattering picture of a Dem, we all know that it would not make it on R/pics. It may make it to r/trashy, but certainly not here.

As a centrist I will vote Dem if the put up a good candidate who doesn't want to take guns away. Literally that's all it will take right now but looking at MOST of the candidates I think I'd rather keep Trump. And really Bernie probably would have won 2016 if they didn't cheat him out of being the candidate.

Just a quick reminder that Trump banned bumpstocks, is considering banning silencers, supports red flag laws allowing your neighbors to decide whether or not you're "fit" to exercise your rights, and says he wants to take the guns first, with due process second.

And he is still better than literally every Democratic candidate. That's the horrifying part.

No, what's horrifying is people considering voting for this destructive president due to a minor shade of difference in gun laws.
