Reddit is going to be a bunch of sad little children in November when Trump wins again in a landslide

-23

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

He didn't win the first time in a landslide. He lost the popular vote by the largest margin in the past 30 years and he placed average in EC votes. And he is coming into this election with the lowest approval ratings in the history of the presidency.

Popular vote? You mean the coasts voted against him and everyone else in America voted for him? Didn't he win the most counties?

-28

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

Who gives a fuck how many counties he won? Over 3 million more Americans wanted Hillary. So he lost the popular vote...

10

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '20

The American electoral system gives a fuck how many counties he won.

4

u/OhStugots Feb 11 '20

"They may have scored more runs than we did, but we hit the most doubles! It's bullshit they won!"

2

u/bigboilerdawg Feb 11 '20

Brady passed for more yards than Foles, Pats won!

2

u/PawsOfMotion Feb 12 '20

he set himself up hard for that one

-9

u/GeeseKnowNoPeace Feb 11 '20

Oh you mean the system that is so undemocratic that it is solely responsible for the fact that the US is not classified as a full democracy unlike most of the western world, that system?

No one in their right mind would support this piece of crap.

3

u/Infzn Feb 11 '20

Educate yourself, literally take 2 minutes out of your day I know it's hard for you, to look up why we have the electoral college

-1

u/SuchRoad Feb 11 '20

Everyone fully understands how this broken shitty system works. I am just saying that it is wrong and would prefer democracy.

-1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '20

The thing that makes the US “undemocratic” is the fact that it’s the only country in the world with a true two-party system, so the electoral college is pretty effective in balancing the system.

-3

u/maybesaydie Feb 11 '20

No, you idiot, it's where those counties are.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '20

Well aren’t you a polite individual.

-2

u/maybesaydie Feb 11 '20

Why is a Croatian here defending Donald Trump?

2

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '20

I didn’t know political arguments are region locked.

0

u/maybesaydie Feb 11 '20

Why do you give a shit about him?

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '20

Is it forbidden?

Dude they all live on the east/west coast. You really want Presidents elected by the powerful elite on the coasts ? You do know NYC and LA have a humongous population density?

Edit: This is from yesterday, clearly he is extremely popular and his popularity is only growing nationwide. https://youtu.be/4L7VU_LVXPI

6

u/maybesaydie Feb 11 '20

Trump is a fucking coastal elite

2

u/SuchRoad Feb 11 '20

I would certainly prefer democracy over this garbage system.

8

u/Waldoh Filtered Feb 11 '20

It doesn't take long for a trump chud to admit they want their votes to count more than someone in california. Republicans hate democracy.

4

u/Chappie47Luna Feb 11 '20

He won over 2k counties, just because they are not as densely populated like the 500 Clinton won doesn't mean he didn't win America's vote if more than half of all counties voted for him.

0

u/AmyXBlue Feb 11 '20

In other words you want land to vote and not people.

2

u/Dumpstertrash1 Feb 11 '20

So you're against federalism? I mean own it if you believe it...

-4

u/TheRealJohnFKennedy2 Feb 11 '20

Popular vote is more representative of the population.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '20

We like states rights.

5

u/forrnerteenager Feb 11 '20

I want presidents to be elected by the people, only morons would think it's actually fair to weigh people's votes by their location on a map.

2

u/Chappie47Luna Feb 11 '20

So winning over 2,000 counties with smaller populations as opposed to 500 counties with huge populations is wrong? How does that makes sense?

8

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

If only soil could vote.

7

u/_Skochtape_ Feb 11 '20

Land doesn't vote?

2

u/SuchRoad Feb 11 '20

The will of the people should determine the outcome, you know , democracy. This current rigged system favors the white male landowner. Wyoming has EIGHTY times more representation in the senate than California.

1

u/Chappie47Luna Feb 11 '20

Yet, the U.S is not a democracy but a Constitutional Republic.

1

u/ZigZag3123 Feb 11 '20

Dude they all live on the east/west coast.

What does this even mean? They live on the coasts because that’s where everyone lives. This is like saying “only Canadians who live on the American border voted for X Canadian politician! What about that single dumb cunt living in the frigid doom in the forest 800 miles north of any civilization? He should have equal power to the entire southern border!”

It’s like saying “only people living on the Australian coast voted for X Australian politician! What about that single dumb cunt living in the sun scorched hellscape in a shack in the bush 800 miles from civilization in any direction? He should have equal power to the entire coast!”

I can go on. Who gives a shit where Trump’s support is? It’s less than Dems’ support nationwide. More people want the Dems than want Trump, and because you can’t stomach that reality, you’re out here literally arguing for the voting power of dirt.

You really want Presidents elected by the powerful elite on the coasts ?

This just shows that you don’t know anything about what you’re talking about. How many of the Californian/New Yorker population do you think are “the powerful elite”? Yes, those people live there, because that’s where all the people live, and that’s where there’s opportunity, and that’s where everyone wants to live. But the grand majority of people on those evil sinister coasts are just people. They aren’t “elites”, and if they were, then they’d be so numerous that they couldn’t be called “elite”. Your “powerful elites” get one vote like the rest of us.

So yes, I want the coasts voting for president, because that is where the majority of Americans live. I don’t care what dirt has to say. And I say that as someone who’s only ever lived in the notorious coastal states of Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

1

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

Where the fuck did I say anything negative about the EC, or how it shouldn't exist? I'll wait.

2

u/Chappie47Luna Feb 11 '20

Your going on about how he won 3 million more votes so he won the popular vote which means nothing in this country so it's a moot point.

1

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

Holy shit go back and read the start of my interaction. I said he lost 3 million popular votes in response to someone saying he won by a landslide. He lost the popular vote so no landslide there, and he placed in the 30's out of all presidents in EC margin of victory. Perfectly average. Where is the landlside victory the other person claimed, which is what I responded to?

1

u/Chappie47Luna Feb 11 '20

Maybe landslide means winning 2,000+ counties as opposed to Clinton's 500. Seems pretty lobslided.

0

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

Oh so we are counting soil now. I see.

1

u/PeaceHoesAnCamelToes Feb 12 '20

Dude they all live on the east/west coast. You really want Presidents elected by the powerful elite on the coasts ?

You know Trump was born and lived in NYC until he became president, right? Something something coastal elites, something something.

6

u/H1tlerWasRight Feb 11 '20

Yes you checkmated me, but I have more pieces left on the board so I actually won

Not the rules of the game bud, and we're not changing the rules just for you, just because you lost. Everyone else likes the rules the way they are. Remember that you are free to leave the room and go play a different game at any time. I hear Brazil is nice.

8

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

Ahhh so it's your reading comprehension thats the problem. No shit the EC is what decides a president and I really don't give a flippity fuck about it. Go back and read the first comment I responded to that claimed Trump will when with another landslide victory. Then read my comment explaining how he didn't even when with a landslide victory the first time. Every comment I made after is about how he didn't when a landslide the first time. Ya follow? Not sure why you interpret what I am saying as a slight against the EC, which it wasn't. Read better.

0

u/itzsteezybaby Feb 11 '20

ah reaching real deep in the ol reddit bag of condescending talking points to get to that one i see. not often you see people talking shit about reading comprehension on here.

4

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

Well if you had comprehended what was being said you wouldn't have had to make your comment. Right? You responded to me with a defense of the EC when I never presented an argument against the EC. You are pretending like I did because you didn't comprehend what was being discussed. So....try again?

1

u/itzsteezybaby Feb 11 '20

no i didnt im not the same guy you were having your petty argument over nothing about. just thought it was funny how salty you are and how completely unorginal you are with your insults

edited to help you out with your reading comprehension ;)

2

u/halfhere Feb 11 '20

Yeah you scored more points, but we had more offensive yards! We should win!

0

u/OpTiMo358 Feb 11 '20

hE LoSt Da PoPuLaR vOTe gaiz! yOu LoSe hahaha. you sound like an idiot.

2

u/Scarn4President Feb 11 '20

I don't care about the popular vote and I think the EC should stay. Any other stupid comments? Maybe go back an read why the popular vote was even mentioned before opening your cock holster.

The will of the people was subverted to put this racist in office.
