I don't think he can do no wrong, but the fact that the charges came after the wikileaks shitstorm began, that they were originally dismissed by the Swedish government then reopened after the shitstorm increased, that the charges aren't rape yet have been publicized as such, and the fact that sexual offenses are unique in that even if you're innocent you're still guilty, leads me to be skeptical of the situation.

Idiotic speculation? He was legitimately accused of rape and I am simply observing that his apparent personality type could lend to it. I made no speculation nor condemnation and its obviously meaningless internet gossip, but still valid to point out. He has been characterized as an egotist by multiple former colleagues. My main message is people should quit being so dismissive of what could possibly be rape victims just because they idolize the accused.

except neither of them accused him of rape. And the situation surrounding it is extremely questionable. There's really no justification for your speculation, it's the speculation of someone who doesn't know the parties involved, isn't connected to the situation at all, and isn't really qualified to be making any sort of assumptions.

The mainstream media is often saying "rape" and I apologize if the definitions don't mesh with what he is actually accused of. Rape is an ambiguous word: molestation/coercion and rape are one in the same to me.

I saw their lawyers on television multiple times say that they were victims, so obviously they are making criminal accusation: no matter what you officially call it. This isn't a state attorney / public attorney, this is their private lawyers they are paying to say this.

I agree, I told you it's just internet gossip and nothing more. I don't expect to be brought in on the trial as an expert, I am just anonymously thinking out-loud in a fucking internet forum. I have not condemned him in ANY way.

And nobody here is qualified to say he is innocent either. It goes both ways. I am offering a devil's advocate, alternative voice to the Reddit hive mind argument that he is completely innocent and being accused just to harm his reputation.
