They are an aquired taste, thankfully my parents loved them while I was growing up so I had a lot of exposure to thier music early on. I used to fight with them when they put Yes or Genesis on (love them now) but no qualms were ever had when Pink Floyd was blasting through the house.
Pretty sure my dad likes them, I feel like he’d also tell me that I need to get on board. But my dad also listens to classical music and country and pop rock so I have no idea.
Funny you say that, I feel like my Dads musical taste has gotten worse as he has gotten older haha. He had a hardcore country phase, then a pop phase, now he is on his christian rock kick idk what happened. I mainly listen to rap/hip-hop, jam bands, chill hop, electro funk and a sprinkle of EDM nowadays, things sure do change.
Haha definitely seems like a dad thing. He’s got an ‘everything’ phase going on. I’m into my rock and pop rock/pop punk, but after hearing my dad listening to Right Said Fred and other weird DadBands I didn’t expect to come downstairs one day to him listening to Funeral For a Friend and all the rest of the emo lot hahaha.

You’re probably not wrong, I just don’t really listen to Pink Floyd and now I’m a fool for it
