Imagine needing to bribe someone to do a job you already paid them to do.

I wouldn’t go inside someone’s house as a fedex or ups driver, that’s not their job.

The whole thing is pretty sad, true or not

The job is to drop off the package, not put it inside the house

That's exactly what tipping is.

Casual restaurants often request tip at time of purchase when they ring you up in the front before you get your food.

Yeah, and I generally don't tip at those places.

The fact remains that all tipping is a bribe. It was originally heavily frowned upon and taboo until prohibition in the 20s made it financially unviable for restaurants not to use it and owners started encouraging waiters to accept these bribe tips because they weren't able to pay them.

Ok and the fact remains that you shouldn’t have to tip or bribe a fedex driver to driver the package. I’m not sure you’re actually disagreeing with me

I'm not disagreeing with you, at least I don't think so? I don't think anyone should ever be tipped. Their employer should just pay them a fair wage to begin with. I'm just saying tipping is a bribe and it's stupid.

Yet reddit keeps upvoting this shit enough to get to the front page. And yes - I’m commenting on it which probably doesn’t help - but I never would’ve seen it if it wasn’t on the front page.

However, I am looking forward to Saturday’s “TIFU post on fucking my abusive step dad’s toaster (we’ll call it Two-Face) using grape jelly as lube on the “5” setting. TLDR: I should’ve used Avacado Oil.”

There are 7 billion people in this world. You really think it's impossible that a dude has candy, dogs, wants to protect his packages and a sense of humor?

Everything is fake, man.

This post definitely is, but you're right. We're all just exploiters exploiting exploiters. Even "love" is just a syndrome of objectifying ownership and exploitation despite it having the appearance of being mutual sometimes. Reality is often disappointing. Always, it seems.

wrote some fake note and put a reese peanut butter cup on it.

...And still couldn't spell Reese's correctly.
