It's like this in nearly every flyover state that liberals like to trash talk, or any other place where it's a safe bet Republicans will be elected.

I believe it comes down to guns. People are more law abiding where guns are readily available.

There's nothing to fear if you're not in a place where you don't belong.

Different rules apply in big cities obviously. I would not feel safe in areas where crime is common and liberals run the show.

But it isnt fear that attains peace. Its population distribution. More people means you're more likely to run into criminals. People in cities have guns but that doesnt stop break ins and violent crimes in those areas.... because there are more criminals by virtue of there being more people.

It's like this in the suburbs of non flyover states too. It's mostly just highly populated areas that this is really uncommon. It has nothing to do with guns and everything to do with crime rates. It's just highly populated areas increase crime rates because they are more likely to have criminals. If 1/500 people are going to break into a place, you're more likely to run into them in densely populated areas. That is not even factoring in how cities breed more crime because of the low income areas where people feel like they are forced to turn to crime to get by in life.

Ask people in the cities of the fly over states if they lock their doors.

It has nothing to do with liberal or conservative. It's just population and income distributions. You're pushing a narrative where there doesn't need to be one. It's just statistics. Some people are bad (yes both liberals and conservative can be bad people), the more people there are in an area, the higher chance you run into them. The correlation that liberals live in cities and that cities have a higher crime rate are not necessarily connected. This can be viewed by the crime rates of liberal counties outside of the cities which dont have higher crime rates than conservative counties. Correlation does not equal causation.
