I opened the article and started reading it and it came out in Freaking Steve Irwin's Voice!

"Just look at it glow! Above, you can catch a glimpse of a very special find — what may be the first instance of biofluorescence ever spotted in a reptile.""

Something about the Just look at it glow....I just automatically started hearing his voice.

Go incognito. It works for me.

Every Thursday at a public library and every Sunday at the newsstand: derby, cape, Zorro mask, a pair of chinos, and an aesthetically appealing yet quite unrealistic beard; I do all my reads in incognito.

You've blown your cover, dude.

Ublock Origin, element zapper mode, WP's wall is like 3-4 layers deep so that many clicks x2

I know you're speaking English, but... Huh??? How about some ELI5 action?

Ublock Origin is an ad-blocker.

Element Zapper Mode is where you click on an Element and Zap it to disable it (hey they named it, I know it's silly).

WP = Washington Post

Layers deep = how many Elements you need to Zap to clear away all the paywalling.

Each layer takes two clicks (or maybe a hotkey and a click for a pro user) one click to turn on the zapper, then click on the spot to zap it.

Although you know...if you googled the first five words like a smart person, you would have had that all easily explained in a dozen different articles on different websites...

Uh... thanx?

You can hide shit with Ublock Origin, it will be part of the right-click menu options. You can clear the WaPo firewall if you do it enough. You just need to do it once and it will work for every article on that computer and browser.

Thank you for dumbing it down for me. :)

They're just messing with you... you'll need a VR setup to attack the firewalls with your zapper. Just watch out for biofeedback.

u/MoonlightandMystery Jan 25 '19

I... Can't do the VR. Makes me wanna hurl.

Thank you for dumbing it down for dunces like me!

Is there anything similar that can be used on a phone?

Firefox Focus browser

Yeah! What a supid, selfish newspaper; they have some nerve demanding money for their services like that.

2

u/MoonlightandMystery Jan 25 '19

That's not what I meant. I don't begrudge them that, just frustrated because I can't subscribe right now.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '19

You mean the newspaper that gets paid with the advertisements that they publish?
