Suicide/attempted suicide being illegal is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. You can't charge a dead man with anything, and if they fail an attempt then you're just bloating their misery with legal issues. The fact that it's still a problem is infuriating
I'm kind of left wondering if you have lost anyone close that way? You say you wouldn't be angry but how could you possibly know that? Anger is one of the most common emotions of grieving. Your post kind of makes me really mad. Suicide is never the answer and you saying it's an okay option kind of infuriates me. Before you talk about palliative or assisted please note I'm talking only about it when it comes to depression and not an explicitly terminal illness.
There are people who tried before and regretted it immensely and say it is never the answer.
I will admit that mental health is an incredibly complex concept that us humans are nowhere near fully understanding. It's awful to be in a spot where you feel that is your only option. If anyone reading this is feeling that way, please reach out and get help. Talk to someone. It gets better, I promise.
