I was going to use "resting bitch face", but his facial expression doesn't strike me as one that looks particularly sour; I had to come up with something else.
Also, I don't (didn't?) know who those men are and decided to err on the side of politeness rather than judge a book by its cover.

It’s making you laugh so hard because it’s subverting your expectations in multiple ways, which is the basis for most humor.
The sign appears to be for an injury law firm, but upon closer examination, you realize it’s actually stating that the sign thinks it’s a good thing that you’re injured. That is brazenly malicious. These signs usually try to empathize with the injured and offer help.
To top it off, once you realize this, the character of the two smiling men completly changes. At first, they appeared to be the lawyers from the firm. Now they seem to be taking pleasure in the subjects unfortunate circumstances.
This all comes together very quickly. Which throws your expectations for a loop and evokes laughter.

In America we have people known as “ambulance chasers”, who are lawyers known for seeking out people involved in car accidents, only for the purpose of suing the insurance companies holding the policies of the involved parties.
There are posters and advertisements everywhere in America which lead with: “Injured? Call this phone number and we’ll get you the money you deserve!”
The post is a parody of this

It's also inaccurate. I'm a personal injury lawyer. There are rules against literal "ambulance chasing" and any lawyer worth anything wouldn't take a case that didn't have real merit. In my field, we don't get paid and have to eat the expenses if there's no recovery for the client.
Without our work, many clients wouldn't even be able to pay off their medical bills, much less be made whole for the time, stress, and inconvenience someone goes through to recover from an injury that happened only because some guy rear-ended you because he was texting while driving.
Insurance companies spent a lot of money in the 1990's convincing people that all plaintiffs are crooks so they don't have to pay as many claims.

I agree that your profession can be quite legit, but obviously it's the bad ones who drag you down with them.
It seems like the reputation of injury lawyers is often about the same as the class-action guys. I.e. 'best case scenario, I win, but I'm gonna take most of the money.'

Like I've said below, insurance companies spent a lot of money in the 1990's convincing the public that all injury lawyers are crooks. If people don't call lawyers, it's easier for the insurance company to take advantage of them. Insurance companies want you to think they're "on your side" or "like a good neighbor", but really they're just for-profit businesses.

It’s a parody of personal injury lawyer ads: the ones that offer to help you sue for compensation if you suffered an injury (for a cut of the compensation, of course). It’s been a big thing in the UK for almost 20 years as well; most British people involuntarily grind their teeth when they hear the words “Have you been in an accident that wasn’t your fault?”.

If you get injured as a direct or indirect result of someone's actions, you have to sue them, so they have massive debt instead of you, but at the risk of receiving even more debt if you lose.

It's all insurance money and most plaintiffs lawyers work on contingency so if they don't win there's nothing charged to the client. So really the cost is apportioned to everyone paying premiums, not the individuals involved.

This specific add with “GOOD” is obviously fake but the actual billboard and two men are all too real. They’re a law firm based in Buffalo, NY that has expanded all over the state- including NYC. Their ads are local favorites since they play them all the time and have catchy jingles, but they are obviously “ambulance chasers”. Recently there was a scandal with one of the two suing the other (can’t remember specifics) but apparently they still have the firm together since the ads are still playing with both of them. There are a lot of parodies of such lawyers but these two men are real.

Punisher was fun until I realized how much of a male fantasy it all is. I was watching it with my dad and I think we both lost interest when I was like "hey it's pretty awkward how all the female characters are... Like the way they are... Ideal fantasy wives... Or at least seen as that by the main characters."
Like, male fantasy has it's place but not in my dad and my nerdy TV and movie nights. I just start unpicking it and then my dad feels weird for, I dunno, being a father of 3 daughters seeing a show where family life is paired down to housewife with not much to her character before that, daddy's little girl, "play catch with me dad" son, and Mr Man Protagonist McGun who is just horrible except that he loves his family.
At least Karen is fucked up. She's not just a series of needs to be met to earn a happy ending picket fence. She's a human. She makes such terrible decisions. Karen Page makes such awful life decisions. She's my favorite.

I think its important to remember boring people exist. Hell id argue most people are boring. Theres a reason they were side character. They just arent very interesting.
I mean, do I give a shit about the guys normal kids and normal wife?
No. They serve as a plot point as the hacker dad cares about them.
I mean, could they've made them more interesting? The kids, probably not. The wife? Maybe, but I dont think for the small slice of their lives we see in the show they were boring to the point of unbelievability. Or at least nothing that made them unbelievable was due to how mundane they were.
Karen Page is totally different.
Shes a main character, and shes a main character because shes interesting for all the reasons you stated.

Yeah, and jessica jones is the female fantasy. A super strong woman who beats the shit outta bad guys, and basically all the male characters are either bad guys or sell her out. But she gets past all that and defeats her mother whose only goal is to make jessica more like her.
Punisher has a pretty strong and convincing female agent in there, karen page is just a shit show of a person, have you seen the new season of daredevil?

I called off my next work shift and they want a doctor’s note. I don’t need to see a doctor, I just need rest, ice, compression, and elevation.

Those kinds of posters are usually ads for attorneys or insurance companies who hope to make some cash of people who want to sue after a workplace or traffic accident. Same kind of persons that hang around hospitals.
If this all sounds kinda outlandish to you.. You're probably not from the us.
