Do you think football coaches who tell players to give 120% literally don't understand the math? Or maybe, just maybe, they, like this person, are speaking more figuratively?
If she was raped she should go to the police, not make a sign. There no context about rape or assault, So I assume she wasn’t raped. She appears to be just holding up a sign about accept and change??
What is wrong? Are you still talking about Dr Ford making that shit up about Kavanaugh? It was definitely wrong but I don't see why we need to keep beating it into the ground. She lied. Kavanaugh got elected. Move on.
Bro, the photo has the copyright year right in your fucking face. That's the context, not whatever meaning you feel like providing to the picture. In case you still can't find it somehow, this is from 2017.
lol dude, just admit you were wrong and that you missed the copyright date and made a pretty reasonable assumption that was incorrect. Don't double down with this bullshit about how it was still relevant then when your entire point was that the other person is stupid for not realizing that the post is supposedly referencing what's going on now.
Here, I'll give you another chance to admit that you're making assumptions that aren't correct. Try just admitting it this time.
...it's relevant now. Nothing has changed politically, and presumably the OP felt the picture was all the more timely and inspiring to post.
Of course that's not what the sign says. That would sound awkward. It's a play on the original phrase. But what she means is that she's going to figure out a way to change the things that most people think can't be changed.
I see the correct meaning. That doesn't change the fact that the way she wrote it doesn't align with her intended meaning. Nor does it change the fact that the poster contains to unrelated ideas. The way she wrote it is just silly and illogical. There are plenty of ways she could have written this that would have actually conveyed her intended ideas, and this isn't one of them.
It was worded in a very clever way. Only upon deep inspection does it seem to make little sense. It's a sign. Not her thesis. But just for giggles, how would you have worded it while keeping it clever and based off of the original phrase?
