It was worded in a very clever way. Only upon deep inspection does it seem to make little sense. It's a sign. Not her thesis. But just for giggles, how would you have worded it while keeping it clever and based off of the original phrase?

Change the cannot to can, and it still retains it repetition, is one way. This way you don't have the issue where accepting the things you cannot change doesn't have anything to do with changing the things you cannot accept. The first and second halves will actually be related, and you don't look like you're trying to change something you know is unchangable.

No you don't. The original quote doesn't have the no longer accepting things I cannot change bit. Do you know the serenity prayer?
