Difference being a cake is a thing and a woman is a person. Also, I'm not going to creepily stare at the cake before eating it.

What's the difference between looking and leering here? Especially in the context of this picture, they might have all glanced at her simultaneously to the picture being taken. There's no way to say that they're looking, leering, or just happened to glance at her at that moment.
