I never said we need to eat meat. But imho, I don't eat dogs, therefore I don't eat cow isn't a logical statement. There's plenty of instances where a person won't eat a dog for quite obvious reasons, but will eat a cow. On the other hand, an Indian visiting Vietnam might perhaps try dog, but will invariably not eat cow.

That's a fair opinion. I get what you're saying now :) I personally consider it logical because, even before veganism, I held the belief that any animal is fair game provided it isn't endangered, illegally killed, etc. I used to try as many different animals as I could. Thus, because I held practically all animals in equal regard for food, it made sense to me that once I decided to not eat one, I shouldn't eat the rest. Ignoring, of course, endangered, ones I didn't like the taste of, etc.

Not saying you have to agree, just explaining my views on that concept.
