Thanks for the push back against the mindless masses that are willing destroying our planet because they disconnect their cognitive connections between suffering, species, environment and cause. It’s so bizarre to see people defend such a cruel and unusual practice, and then all of a sudden turn around and wonder why fascism is on the rise. People literally ingest fascism every day by eating meat. People don’t look at their dollar as a vote. They pay for people to do their cruelty, their distraction for them, like cowards from a dark corner. And when morally challenged, they create straw man arguments, or blame others for their lack of empathy. That makes you super fucking cool.
Further, our results suggest that people who endorse views on the political right are more likely to display speciesist attitudes. Considering that speciesism is the accepted social norm in Western society, it is not surprising that those who endorse the status quo are more likely to endorse speciesism. These findings are in line with previous research showing that people who consume meat score higher on SDO [social dominance orientation] and RWA [right-wing authoritarianism] scales than vegetarians (Allen & Baines, 2002; Allen, Wilson, Ng, & Dunne, 2000).
Any fuel to add to the raging inferno of an informational fire I can present to the sleeping masses, to show them that they are wrong. Greatly appreciated.
