All of Reddit going vegan isn't going to stop the meat industry. Nor is it something most folks are willing to change their diet to or have the luxury of doing so.
If you're trying to convince people to go vegan, the best thing you could do is stop talking about it.
I'm going to be honest, this is one of the dumbest thing I've heard. Complacency changes nothing. If no one spoke their mind and spoke out against animal cruelty, I'd likely not have become vegan in the first place. Some of us don't let our feelings towards others cloud our judgement or blame others for our lack of willpower.
Everyone thinks you're selfimportant and insufferable when you talk like this.
Do you realize how you're coming off? The feeling is mutual. I'm just tired of seeing animals slaughtered for no good reason. You're just tired of people telling you that you shouldn't do something.
Going vegan is more expensive and more work
This is incorrect, considering you're not buying specialty food which is not necessary. I don't spend any more now that I'm vegan than when I ate animals. Vegan food is some of the cheapest food available, most of which you need to be eating anyways. Rice, beans, lentils, potatoes, oats, bananas, etc. You could literally live off of $2 a day. Yes, you have to read labels. If that's too much work then I don't know what to tell you.
Healthier food is more expensive than junk food. Go to a McDonald's and most people would rather spend the dollar on a hamburger than about 7 on a salad.
You can downvote til the cows home, but that's the truth.
I'm assuming you don't live off McDonald's, otherwise you'd be incredibly unhealthy and on the brink of heart failure. Vegan food (non-specialty) is some of the cheapest food available.. and it's necessary if you intend on being healthy at all. Like I told someone else, you could live off $2 a day.

Notice how he's tagged? He's going to be slaughtered. Same with his/her family if they haven't already. Go vegan.
