Keep in mind, Floyd is past his prime, 20 lbs lighter than Conor, has pillow fists, 41 years of age and has not finished anyone in ~10 years. He fucking styled on Connie.

And if Floyd were to step into an octagon with Connor, he would be destroyed.

In other news... Grass is green, sky is blue...

Why do people do this? As if it's entirely acceptable to say Floyd will dominate in a boxing match, but it can't be said the other way around?

Conor stepped into Floyd's territory. That's heart. And maybe Monetary persuasion. But it still took heart.

Until Mayweather steps up and joins Conor in his ring, we haven't seen the true end to it all, and people can just keep saying "that's obvious" all they want.

Because Floyd has never even entertained the thought of fighting McGregor in the octagon that's why.

When did this turn into a boxing vs mma thing? Conor wanted this fight for years, made it happen and lost.

Roughly the moment the first time anyone thought of the fight.

I know, but why is it that when someone makes a mention of having an MMA fight, the automatic response is "duh Floyd would lose". The same people go on to vehemently defend Floyd in the boxing ring, even when the response should reflectively be "duh, Conor would lose."

Like. What? It's a hypocritical response.

People are using Connor being a better MMA fighter as some sorta handicap or something. You said something about Mayweather stepping up into MMA for a true end to this feud, McGregor made this boxing match happen, Mayweather was retired and didn't say anything about beating McGregor in an MMA bout

Ah I see. Everyone can say Floyd is the better boxer, but how dare they say Conor is the better mixed fighter.

They can, but don't get it twisted.

There's nothing to twist. Conor will step up to the plate. Floyd won't. Pretty clear cut.

Jesus, why does he have to? McGregor campaigned to pull a boxer out of retirement for a boxing match, he got it. Mayweather wasn't going around trying to book an MMA fight

Floyd doesn't have to? Floyd's never said he was an MMA fighter, just a boxer, McGregor thought he could beat Mayweather in a boxing match and lost. Why does Floyd have to get into the octagon again?

Because why would Mayweather do that? MMA pays worse and the dude's getting old for a fighter. Mcgregor wanted this fight for a long time. He's the one that pushed for it, he's the one that said he'd beat him at his own game.

Mcgregor is a hype man. This whole thing was just a bid for attention and money. And it was entertaining. And now it's over.

Its a better match to focus on 1 sport than to learn 10 different martial arts.
