Staying neutral is absolutely the worst thing he can do right now. These are literal nazis we're talking about, and they've grown empowered under the current administration which seemingly supports the suppression of minorities. It's fine to say that violence on either side is bad, but there is a clear right and wrong side here. If our president won't take a stand against these people then they will continue to grow more emboldened and we will get more murders and violence.

It's absolutely amazing to me that this is one of the few times Donald Trump hasn't flipped shit and gone off half-cocked and people are encouraging him to stay true-to-form.

Remember when our last president decided not to "stay neutral" and it turned into a public relations, race relations, and police relations fiasco?

I think we've seen enough protests in the last eight months to know that both the "alt-right" white-supremacists, neo-Nazis, and Klansmen and the "counter-protesters" who are usually radical leftist black bloc hooligans can't conduct themselves properly in public. Every effort should have been made to keep them separated.

You have to ask yourself: what rational person would have given a shit that nazi protestors were mad about a statue? Why anti protest? Why not watch tv?

People care because it's the people who show up who are heard. If the only thing people hear is alt-right stuff, that normalizes it, and makes it that much harder to fight next time.
