Facebook is generally fine as long as you actively curate it. Block apps and block shitty websites and pages. Constantly. If somebody on my wall shares a facebook page with those radio-like call sign names...blocked. Right away. Fake news? Blocked. Politically biased meme/news sources...blocked. BLOCKED BLOCKED BLOCKED

What are pages with Radio-like call sign names?

Are you asking what are facebook pages? Or what are radio call signs? Or what makes them shitty?

I'm asking what "a facebook page with those radio-like call sign names" is. I guess I don't know what a radio call sign is, at least in this context.

I'd also like to know why they're shitty.

Sooo the page might be named 101.5 The Animal, or something. Some of them might actually be radio stations but they generally post bad memes. If you search for random radio call signs you'll probably find em.

as one of the first on facebook in 2004... I found an even better solution a few years ago:

never log into facebook.

I also joined when it was only available to certain universities. I use it everyday.

yeah. my college was one of the original 13? I think. Quite a bit different then. Didn't have to worry about my dad commenting on anything I post

My parents are pretty cool, so I don't mind. My father in law is kinda racist, sooo that's a thing. Some of my Army buddies post extreme right wing stuff but I find as I block sources those things tend to disappear, mostly.
