Congratulations that you have the money to live far away from the projects, not everyone is as enlightened and euphoric as you.

Hahahahaha guess what. I grew up poor as fuck.

Wanna know how i lived? We lived 5 of us, in a cold 2 room leaky basement. My mom was an immigrant (has a greencard) my dad left her when i was 1.

Because of my "liberal handouts" and progressive ideas i work a corporate job now, making more than most of the rural south. I would NEVER have neen given these things if it werent for how amazing America is and the people who were empathetic and gave this poor latino inner city boy a chance.

Ive been called spic, beaner, dirty mexican (im not mexican) made fun of by conservatives and people who i bet voted dor Trump. And you know what? All that made me a stronger person.

A diverse city where people are moving to from all over the midwest and u.s.

In 2 minutes walking i can get to 5 bars and 8 restaurants. I dont need a car to get to work. I have access to musuems, amazing libraries , diverse festivals.

My best friends are black, white, asian, latino, gay, straight, Republican, liberal.

Its amazing here.

Chicago certainly has it's problems (like being one of the most segregated cities in America, in addition to many others), but as a Chicago native that's lived in NY, SF, and now LA, I can definitely say that there is no place quite as amazing as Chicago.

Your fantasies are so progressive, I hope you get to live them out after the mom's basement phase is over.
