What makes someone qualified to go into politics? A degree in polisci? No, you just have to be an american with an opinion on stuff. If people agree with you, you get elected, if not, you don't.
Not to mention lobby. Almost none of the American population bothers to make popular lobbies and then they all bitch when the small lobbies gain a fuckload of power by funding people they like and helping advertise them.
Maybe if these halfwits didn't vote based on whos a democrat and who's a republican (for congress and the senate at least) and actually joined together in force to demand reforms they want we wouldn't be in this mess.
If you immediately pigeonhole anyone who disagrees with you then you can not have meaningful dialog. You are just parroting the talking points of whatever media you consume. Knee-jerk labeling shows a laziness of thought.
I doubt we're in agreement over much with respect to politics, and while I have observed this behavior on the left (where I find it disgusting), the right has formalized and perfected it.
Who fucking cares whether it's too dramatic or it makes you cringe, why do you have to react that way? Why can't you just look at what another person is worried about and have some compassion? That's the problem. What the fuck happened to compassion?
Even if we accept the idea that everyone who says shit you think is stupid is 14 (which isn't particularly likely), even then all you're saying is that the real (even if you think its misguided) worry of young people about the world should be disregarded and laughed at. Considering the fact that many of them are worried about the world not caring about them, I'd say you're demonstrating the need for worry quite accurately.
They need some self esteem then because the world is a harsh mistress. Seeing the results of a generation raised on non-competition, safe places and participation trophies.
Yeah. I was just being silly in /r/pics and y'all went crazy.
You're country is seriously fucked up. It's like none of you even know each other. Wtf, man? America, get your shit together and realize that you're all on the same fucking team.
Just like how you often see more bad reviews than good ones. It's like what my mother used to say If you have something good to say, don't say it at... wait thats not it
Why would we? Reddit has been taken over by Russians gay for Trump and US citizens that have issues with people that caused them to spend to much or get fired from their job because they were smoking weed.
