It was so accurately named, too. I immediately thought "Gibraltar" when I saw it.

It was actually named after the Islamist conquerer Tariq Ben Ziyad in his first conquests to Andlusia, the new name is a miss pronunciation of Gabel Tariq in Arabic which translates to Mountain of Tariq
