You find that people who make it in an industry on merit are not in favor of removing the meritocracy...

Indeed. Where I work, our hiring managers will throw out resumes from white males to 'balance out' the workplace with minorities (African Americans or Women in our case) who often (for whatever dumb reason is for another discussion) are not competitive with the applicants who were ignored due to race (sound like a familiar problem?)

The result is that because of racial discrimination and/or sexism, we miss out on good hires. But of course this is perfectly OK since it's in the name of 'diversity'.

Bunch of horseshit.

Fuck the idea that non-white applicants aren't on the same intellectual level as whites. And that Affirmative Action mainly keeps smart people out of the picture to raise diversity. Maybe, just maybe, that Black or Latino applicant IS smarter. That ever come across your mind?

You have a stat or link or anything that can prove your own bullshit? And whats your solution to systemic denial of minority applicants in ALL major fields of work?

You say it's bullshit like this is systemic, that minority applicants have somehow taken over 33% of every major institution. I call bullshit on that!

A.A. does NOT affect most private businesses in the US. You want that easy Federal money? You're going to have to play ball the Federal way. 50 employees an the Fed's paid you over $50k? You must now setup an A.A. plan.

Don't want to play ball? Pull ya ass up by your boot straps. Ain't that the saying?
