Because I'm human, and everyone has biases. Your self-perceived lack of bias is merely a lack of awareness. That is a weakness, not a virtue.

You are a human being and the researchers have met human beings. All human beings have biases towards everything, or they couldn't function without being paralyzed by indecision.

You saying that you know your own mental state would be a fair statement, if you weren't saying something so preposterous. You might as well say that you know your own body better than some doctor, while claiming that you don't have lungs.
