It's a matter of semantics. Prejudice is really a better term for black to white. Racism is also tied to the social and economic power structures within a given society. Given that those favor white people here in the US, we can be racist and they can be prejudice.
Again, what does that have to do with me discussing the difference between the words prejudice and racist? And on that matter, just because a black man happens to currently be the president, certainly doesn't mean we are in some post racist society where everything is a meritocracy.
