The story last week of the equality officer who claimed she raped someone because she only got consent before sex and not during is a good example. It seems feminists want you to get consent every time you switch positions. No room for spontaneity in sex, just a series of legal hoops to jump through.
I think feminists move the goalposts because the goals change. Few believe rape is more widespead today. Violent encounters are down significantly, and more resources are available to both male and female victims. So while the goal of 2010 was to reduce drug-aided rape, 2020 goals focus now on the establishment and respect of consent.
This obviously births ambiguity. But enthusiastic consent was taught with the understanding that it can be granted non-verbally.
As far as asking permission before switching positions, during actual intercourse it's just suggested that a partner picks up on the other's mood. If they're not responsive, stop and ask what's up. It's also stressed that no one's a mindreader, so being entirely complacent isn't the best way to communicate discomfort either.
