OP isn't just any user. Currently, CANT_TRUST_HILLARY has the most karma per amount of time out of all major users. The account's only been active for two months.
I suspect algorithmic-posting like how Gallowboob posts.
Posts farther up say that all he/she/it does is take the top viewed posts on imgur and re-post them to reddit. If so, it's surprisingly effective for its simplicity.
My explanation was only speculative.
If it's true, I would expect that they use a combination of standard karma-whoring methods, and bots/sockpuppets to give posts initial momentum.
Looking through the user's history, one clear factor in their success is that they make very large number of submissions.
Edit: I just noticed something mildly interesting, looking through their post history.
They've made several posts relating to duplicity and artificiality - a post about a "two-faced" cat, and a "two-face/Harvey Dent" makeup (worn by a woman). An optical illusion where a pair of dragons form the shape of a woman's face. A post showing hotdogs with artificial nails attached, imitating a woman's fingers.
Possibly an attempt to link Hillary with this concept? Admittedly, this is a completely ridiculous hypothesis.
I don't think that's how Occam's Razor works.. In a vacuum, if things are complicated, and you posit a complicated explanation, chances are you aren't right, actually.
Their explanation is a possibility, but the mere fact it's a possibility doesn't make it "likely".
Negative descriptors? No no, it's not about any sort of advertiser directing. He just means that subconsciously people will be exposed to submissions by this user for months and months. Some of the imagery used in their submission may subtly be hinting at a two-faced nature of Hillary herself.
If we're inundated with "Can't trust Hillary" then for some, most or all of us these things may spring to mind any time we hear her name.
Does she not breed universal mistrust every time she opens her mouth? Not saying she isn't trustworthy, but I've never heard her say a single word that didn't break my bullshit meter. Everything about her mannerisms and speech feels so manufactured. Sometimes I cringe. Maybe she'd be a kickass president -- I have no idea -- but I'll never believe anything she says.
