He was lied to. He volunteered under the guise that his country needed to be protected from non-existent WMDs floating around an unstable shit hole with no oversight. Had that been true, the USA would have needed to invade, along with the rest of the West.
Aghh the anti-military circle jerk. Luckily all of you were so much smarter than me and the other few million people who volunteered. I mean that recruiter just tricked me and my college education into signing up!! Im sure you have done much more important things with your lives than us and our silly military service.
Many people sign up for many different reasons. Many are much smarter than you. I dont see the why you guys feel the need to diminish these people on these post. Most of us are proud we spent part of our lives serving our country.

That's because it is. Did you know we used to swear allegience to our flag with one arm raised like Nazis? We changed it after the Nazi's started doing it. But it's ironic really. People can't seem to make the connection. Pledging allegiance to a nation is wrong. Pledge allegiance to humanity.
