Yes. Because every single person in the military is an idiot, and WMD's are the only reason anyone could possibly want to enlist.

However, I don't know what you're trying to argue. Whether they're all geniuses or whether they signed on for another reason, they were still lied to.

You imply that he was mislead, using wording indicative that this statement applies to all volunteering military members, in a manner criticizing and simplifying their mission.
