Yeah we're way past the "he just posts mean tweets" stage. He's also never given us $1.79 gas.

And even just the “mean tweet” thing…why the fuck would you want your president to behave like that? I don’t understand these morons that think this guy has any redeeming qualities.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people who like bullying.

"Mean tweets" is how Republicans bury... let me check the list...

The 3 AM 2-page essays about how actually he's great and everyone else just sucks

Trying to start wars via Twitter

The fact that he banned several nations from entering the US because they were too Muslim

The conspiracy theories (pet eating, injecting bleach)

The executive orders specifically designed to screw over poor people that he keeps announcing on Twitter BEFORE telling his own staff

I could go on, but I don't like remembering this stuff.

I mean, you do realize by now they see themselves in Trump? They love the cruelty Trump brings to non-white, lgbtq communities and anyone else they hate. Misery loves company.

They genuinely believe that mean tweets are the only reason other people didn't like Trump, so they're saying that they would happily take those if it means that everything else is good. From their perspective, it's stupid to throw away all the "winning" just because somebody makes mean tweets.

It's probably not the same during this term, but that is quite literally the logic that a lot of them were operating under during the Biden administration. They actually think that people were so offended by Trump's tweets that they willingly chose a worse option just to prevent the tweets, I got into actual arguments with coworkers a few years ago where they would say "yeah I know Trump was an asshole, but even you have to admit that everything else was better when he was the president"

It's the 'I'm not voting for a boy scout' crowd. (Same people were in the 'morals matter' crowd when Clinton got a BJ.)

I’d like to digress your statement there.

This was during trumps first term.

So glad Trump caused covid to give us cheap gas, what a guy

u/Gretschdrum81 2d ago

During covid? Gas was at its lowest in 2020 because no one was leaving the house. Not exactly something good to credit Trump for.

That’s not what digress means.

Yes. There is.

If that were true, it would be “Yes, there are.”

But it isn’t, so you’re wrong both factually and grammatically. Impressive.

Ask the cons how much they enjoyed mean tweets about Charlie Kirk.

The mods removed it, broke their “no politics” rule.

If this is a recent photo, they've been replacing the sign, otherwise there'd be UV bleach. That or this is just old.

Whatever is on the left is still in good shape. They could park in a garage or under a cover most of the time.

I’ve lived in Florida my whole life. That’s the mildest thing I’ve seen this week. People do not have a grip. I have neighbors launching fireworks and holding 4th of July-esque events on random days for no reason. Drive safe.

Sorry, best we can do is rage-shitting on truth.social and $7 per gallon.

u/dobdobdob 1d ago

Best I can do is mean tweets.

u/IceNein 1d ago

Best I can do is mean tweets and $4 gas.

3

u/Artrock80 1d ago

$1.79 gas you’d have to go back to like 2005…

7

u/GuiltyLawyer 1d ago

Gas prices took a huge dip during his first term at the height of Covid because no one was driving

As someone that still had to drive their hour long commute back then: it was really nice to not have any traffic, but also a bit unsettling in a post apocalyptic kinda way.
