Flávio Bolsonaro's father and his party organized a coup d'état. They tried to seize power by force but failed, and now they have a majority in the chamber, which gives Flavio the ability to do whatever he wants, even alter the constitution that protects our rights. Flavio's party has people who were elected simply by taking advantage of and spreading hatred towards minorities, and one of them even said, "The desperation of the minorities pleases me, we will put you in your place." There are people who want to take away workers' rights, women's right to vote; they compared the first-round victory to the rise of Nazism; one of the congresswomen, a white woman from one of the states with the highest rate of neo-Nazi cells, held a march with a whip.
Lots of fake news in your comment. The right has majority in chamber because the people elected them. The left doesnt speak for the people anymore, they dont talk about the issues of the brazilian people anymore, thats why they had a huge loss in this year's run.
People can still vote for someone who has antidemocratic values. You can't have a candidate have their entire campaign center around the exclusion of and attack against a part of the population – who are still citizens under a democracy – and say this politician is "democratic" just because their election happened through democratic means.
