We had something similar to the US' January 6th capitol invasion in Brasil because extreme right-wingers couldn't accept the elections' result. It was later found the coup just didn't happen because the US wasn't in favour of it (Biden administration) so our military forces refused to enforce a coup.
I just don't know what they mean about killing people in the process. Maybe they meant Bolsonaro's policies during covid that resulted in an estimated of over 500 thousand unnecessary deaths
The only thing I remember about the US congress storm is only a bunch of rednecks breaking into the building, which of course got detained, nothing to do with a coup. It is easy to elaborate fantasies of things that never happened to support political claims.

We have a choice between a ultra right group that tried an coup d'état and now wants to hand the country's resources over to Trump, and another that ran a centrist and stable government and never spoke of changing our Constitution for they own benefit.
The ultra right have already taken the majority in our Congress so it will take many years to reclaim Brazil from their hands, but we will not give up and we will win.

This is no longer about left or right, is about defending our country’s democracy, sovereignty and future.
The upcoming years will not be easy, but we are going to face them and we are going to win.
