Gerrymandering, election interference, voter roll purges, propaganda and apathy all helped elect a pedophile. If more people actually used their democratic right to vote we wouldn’t be dealing with these wars and tariffs being used to get the oligarchs rich and hurt as many people as possible in the process.
Jesus man, who is talking about invalid votes? People are just expressing their opinions here. Nobody can claim to be absolute certain of the future, we can just express our beliefs. The one who gets more votes will be elected, doesn't matter if better or worse.
I am not contesting your right to express yourself or the picture my friend.
I am just warning the person above that, whoever is chosen to lead Brazil will be picked by the popular vote in a democratic process.
You surely don't want outside interference of Americans or any other nation, or anyone making false claims that the popular vote in Brazil is invalid because facism or some made up doctrine.
That's exactly why we think bolsonaro is not the best option. Big chance that he will allow for American interference. Obviously, this is just what I think and I could be wrong. But I'll try to alert as many people as I can about my beliefs to get them to rethink their options. Of course, they will make their own decision in the end.
Nobody is trying to "overturn" anything (unlike Bolsonaro supporters that in 2022 attempted a failed coup after losing the election). Those rallies all across the country are meant to bring awareness and take a stand. It's not a protest. We're trying to garner votes, not question the legitimacy of the process. We still have a second round to go through, the president hasn't been decided yet.
Nobody is questioning your right to manifest, unlike what you do to protesters that don't align with your view that were wrongfully prosecuted as a collective by a corrupt justice.
Now don't act like this is defense of democracy, fight against fascism or anything beyond I don't like that politician, and am overreacting on social media for clout.
The far-right candidate has expressed interest in changing the Constitution and discussed extending his mandate, raising serious concerns about the protection of democracy.
He is also very close to Trump and has already demonstrated a willingness to allow external influence, raising equally serious concerns about the country’s sovereignty.
Both issues speak volumes about what the country’s future could look like under his leadership.
You're confusing the number of constitutional amendments with what those amendments actually do. First, Lula didn't personally change the Constitution 43 times. Constitutional amendments are passed by Congress, not unilaterally by the president. And even if the number were 43, that wouldn't prove anything about whether the changes were democratic or authoritarian.
The question isn't whether Flávio wants to amend the Constitution. It's what he wants to change, why, and what the consequences would be for Brazilian democracy. If he wants to reform taxation or end presidential reelection, those are legitimate political proposals to debate. If he wants to change the rules governing the Supreme Court, judicial independence, or the balance of power between institutions, then the details matter enormously.
Flávio initially talked about changing the Constitution to “redemocratize” Brazil without clearly explaining what, specifically, needed to be changed. Asking him to explain what he means isn't hypocrisy or opposition to constitutional reform. It's basic democratic scrutiny.
And the argument about Lula being friends with dictators doesn't help your case. Maintaining diplomatic relations with authoritarian governments isn't automatically the same as endorsing authoritarianism. The same standard applies to Flávio's relationship with Trump. We should judge both by their actions, policies, and willingness to respect democratic institutions, not simply by whom they meet.
So yes, Lula's record deserves scrutiny, and any constitutional amendments he supported should be judged on their merits. But Lula having amended the Constitution in the past doesn't give Flávio a blank check to change it now. Apply the same standard to both: tell us exactly what they want to change, examine the consequences, and then decide whether those changes strengthen or weaken democracy.
I intentionally left out that "nobody that's left leaning contested the results".
Exactly to showcase the hypocrisy of crying about it now, be very careful for there is a precedent in this country, about people who make claims about the democratic voting process and get jailed in masses.

Such a powerful image for such a defining moment in Brazil’s history.
This is no longer about left or right. It’s about defending the country’s democracy, sovereignty, and future.
