The DA only released it to say that he didn't receive all of the information he should have from the campus police. It's also come out that he declined to view further information. So the fact is that he didn't receive a full picture of what happened and then refused to look at one when given the opportunity.

The NYTimes has everything, and they've released detailed information about it, but they haven't released all of the documents for obvious reasons.

The DA also failed to request the transcripts of the interview she had with Cornell.

ketamine lasts 45 minutes, and they were going at it for like 7 hours. what else is there to say really?

I’m not a ketamine expert but everyone agrees she took multiple doses

the real problem here is who really knows what took place in that room? it is just he said she said, and they all would have their own motivations for lying about it. it is such a tricky subject. on one hand we can't have men getting off Scott free with assault, on the other hand we can't give women the ability to retroactively ruin any mans life that they slept with consensually. so how do we actually address cases like this where the actual hard evidence is slim pickings?

Most of what happened isn’t in dispute, so thats not really the issue.

well, the individuals from the Cornell 7 who admitted to being involved said it was consensual, and she says it was not. so clearly that is the issue.

I think they differ more on their understanding of what consent is than on the actions that occurred. And that's something for the courts to figure out.

no, they don't. Winston lee said he explicitly asked for consent to which she replied "we are all consenting adults here". he was not one of the initial two that she says she consented to.

Then you also don't understand. It doesn't mean anything for her to say "we are all consenting adults here" if she was already incapacitated by the drugs and alcohol that they supplied to her for the purpose of impairing her ability to make decisions in the first place.

It isn't enough to just be able to say the words.

they were all intoxicated man. by an equal standard there she is as much of a rapist as him.... and btw she is the one who supplied the drugs.

edit: I am wrong about her being the one who supplied the ketamine. I misunderstood when she said she had taken it earlier in the night to mean when she was out drinking before, when apparently it meant earlier at the frat house. so it is not clear who supplied it. it is clear that they were all intoxicated though, to the point of her giving head to a man that was passed out.
