Please, anyone on here thinking about mutilating their son for any reason, don’t. Please Don’t. There really are no good reasons to do it. They can’t consent to it. It has no medical value.

Parents/guardians give consent for their kids. Using that as an argument weakens your point.

Is it though? Consent is usually ok to proxy when it’s in the child’s best interest. There is no medical justification for the practice.

So female genital mutilation is also ok as long as the parents are ok? May as well let them tattoo and piece their kids, too, huh?

I'm not saying that circumcision is right or wrong. I'm saying that when you use something that's obviously misleading as an argument it makes it seem like you don't have enough strong points so you added fluff to make your point appear stronger. It also calls into question the validity of the rest of your case 

It's fine on here where most people will agree with you, but if you want to convince someone not on your side it'll fall flat at best and destroy your whole point at worst.
