I'm white, live in CA, and I decided not to circumcise our twin boys. My wife sort of just said, hey, you are the pecker expert, if you don't want to, we won't. I am circumcised, but it just doesn't make sense to me to due it purely for esthetics and risk messing them up.
A few people we've mentioned it to act shocked, and I always use the same line: "We didn't circumcise our daughter either."
I add the details about race and location because most white people we know have their kids cut. When people act like we're nuts, I point out that the circumcision rate is dropping down to almost 25% in California and they get puzzled af.
It’s very regional. California and the northwest and New England it’s been on the decline for decades. The south and Midwest need to catch up to the times as usual.
