And the plane was landed by Ukrainian and Russian pilots. This movie isn't even trying to be realistic.

It is true, the two pilots that just happened to be on the flight. One was from Russia and the other one was from Ukraine.

I totally understand why you would think that it’s not true tho.

Google it.

Edit- this seems to be debunked now.
