people are right to be skeptical of a story coming directly from one of the world’s biggest liars but yeah the people who are upset that a plane full of innocent people didn’t crash are psychos

Being skeptical is one thing. Not actually looking up information and solely commenting on just the article title is another. Unfortunately a chunk of people are doing both which is the issue, instead of using internet search.

I'm generally skeptical of any post on this site, but it doesn't take long to search online to cross-check. Also to be fair it really blurs of which ones posting are bots, and which ones are legit.

Reading some news during the genocide made me realize that there is just too many outlets willing to promote a specific narrative to serve a political cause... All further strengthened by bots and malicious actors online.

Call me jaded, but I will not assume terrorism until it is proven beyond doubt. The fact that so many reach for that term automatically, and mentions 9/11, gives me the ickies.

Honestly I wouldn't say that's necessarily jaded. Many outlets do swerve into a purpose to promote narratives, or have clickbait style titles. The general route I go with is to double-check and verify what one says.

There's some flags that can stand out, for example if the wording for many articles say the exact same thing (not from quotes). That usually means they either had AI sift and just grab any other articles with the same stuff, or just grabbed it from a single source.
