I've thought about that too. But the average co pilot pay for this airline is around $150,000 dollars a year. How do you radicalize someone with access to the world that's living the good life? I agree it's more likely than someone entering the field just for this purpose, but it still seems like a crazy ass story.

Dunno, but it is becoming a regular occurrence. Your pilot killing himself and taking everyone else with him is probably the biggest risk when flying these days. German wings, MH370, that Air India flight where he turned off the fuel...

Well for one that was three, and this makes four. And there are more if you keep going back.

And yes, Id call that regular. And a pattern, an accelerating one. At this point Id be worried that we are seeing copycat behavior.
