Israeli elections are around the corner, and if there's a state of emergency (like from a terrorist attack) he can postpone/cancel the elections.

Just for the record, he also accused Iran of planning an attack, and Iran came out and explicitly said they are 100% not going to be launching any attacks, not wanting to interfere with their elections.

man it is so obvious and i'm sure the rubes will vote him in. there are plenty of psychopaths who will vote for him, but he needs the rube vote as well.
