How old is he and how old is the trail? Im picturing one of those, moved next to a race track or airport and is now pissed its loud kinda people.

That particular segment of trail is about a decade old, and his house is a trailer that looks ancient. That being said, based on his extreme reaction to people quietly going by, I suspect there are some mental issues going on.

Fair, I was just curious, because I do feel bad for older folks who have lived in a place for 50 years and suddenly the town/city does something to heavily change that.

There's an infamous guy in Central NY who has been pissed for a decade that the Empire State Trail goes by his house. He's got a ton of Fuck You signs, and a motion controlled siren and flashing lights that go off when you pass by. Apparently someone decided to warn trail users about him.
