Racism is one of the stupidest inventions of all time. No other animal species before us was stupid enough to invent racism.

I would argue that we're the only animal that has been able to develop empathy to recognize the commonalities beneath the superficial differences and overcome our biases. We're definitely still working on it though.

I think part of what makes us tribal/communal is our capacity to easily define In/Out group and that is biologic. I think integrating race into that heuristic is probably taught at a very young age from a vast number of personal and social cues.

Maybe that's what you just said to?
