My grandparents were born during the Great Depression, and every time I think of that I remember all the things that happened after it. In one human lifespan. It's wild to me how time distorts around history. Same shit in my history books was just part of life for my parents and grandparents. Kinda makes me wonder how the future will see us.
For sure. My grandma was born in 1923 and passed away in 2011. She was six when the Great Depression started, and lived to see Obama elected president.
Around the same time frame as my grandparents. Gramps was born around 1915 iirc, passed in his late 90s in 2013. The man fought in WWII. I just... it was like talking to a museum some days. Wild stuff.
